The RP-PCP platform and the AHEAD-GLTFCA initiative join hands to co-organise a TFCA conference
The conference will be held between the 12th and 15th of May 2014 at the Hwange Safari Lodge, Hwange district, Zimbabwe. It will be the occasion to meet, network, listen to oral presentations and read posters on research and development projects implemented within TFCAs, with a special focus on the GLTFCA and KAZA TFCA.
- The title of the conference is: "Management of protected areas and their peripheries in southern Africa: has anything changed with the creation of TFCAs?"
During 3,5 days, four thematic sessions will be addressed:
- "TFCA as complex socio-ecological systems: drivers of TBNRM"
- "Agriculture and animal production activities within TFCAs"
- "Animal and human health in management of TFCAs"
- ."Policy law and other legal instruments for the governance of TFCAs"
In addition to keynote speakers invited for each thematic session, the floor is open for proposals under the form of oral presentations, speed presentations or poster presentations.
