Classical swine fever

Primary tabs

CSF is the most feared pig disease worldwide because the majority of pig-producing countries have fought or are still fighting long battles against it. It can spread over long distances and control is difficult, expensive and sometimes impossible. This has resulted in re-introduction into several countries that had made large investments in eradicating it.
